The Ideological Foundation of Zionism

Christian Zionism and Jewish Zionism are built on the foundation of the return of Christ (in Christianity) or the coming of the King of the Jews (in Judaism—as they deny and reject Jesus, son of Mary, peace be upon him). Both groups attempt to prepare the conditions to fulfill these prophecies or to achieve them personally, even though they do not truly believe in religion or God in reality; the majority of them are atheists. However, they view the matter as a recurring dream they wish to realize—a mixture of myths, ambitions, and desires for political dominance. They see it as a “Last Day” in which they will live out their own paradise, largely because their belief in the hereafter is extremely weak, and many of them deny it altogether.

The Muslim Stance Toward Divine Prophecies

Although prophecies in Islam are more powerful and clear, and although Islamic societies are generally believers and practice their worship, their current state in dealing with prophecies is astonishing. Despite our prophecies being documented, strong, and detailed—and despite the fact that the roadmap for action in this time has been laid out by God Almighty and His Messenger—everyone turns away from them, attempting to “butt rocks with horns of clay!”

Preparations for the Promised One: Differing Visions

In Christianity and Judaism, they believe that the Messiah or the King of the Jews must come to rebuild the Temple once more, declaring his victory, and that this current time is the promised time for his arrival. For the sake of his coming, they thought to return the Jews to Palestine so he could descend among them, as if the hands of the clock had turned back; the task he was supposed to perform will have its conditions prepared for him, and the Jews will believe in him after regretting their past disbelief and opposition.

As for the Jews, they believe that after losing their sovereignty in this land, this promised Messiah will come as a king and a political authority to establish their state and power. Instead of both groups waiting for the Lord to fulfill His prophecies and prepare the appropriate atmosphere Himself, they sought to do it themselves. Although a large sector of religious Jews believes that the state of Israel has no right to exist until the King of the Jews personally establishes it, secular Jews have relied on the same prophecy, offering their own interpretation. They considered the establishment of the state to be, automatically, the “return of the King of the Jews,” whether he personally returns or not. To both groups, if he were to return now, it would be merely to perform a celebratory ritual after they had already prepared everything for him!

The Christian Zionist Paradox

Despite the agreement of both parties to prepare for this stage by establishing and empowering the Jewish state, the obsessed among Christian Zionists believe that when Christ descends—now that the people who once harassed him and caused the Romans to crucify him have been gathered—these Jews will either repent and realize their past mistake or he will kill them all!

The Islamic Roadmap: Palestine as a Righteous Inheritance

As for us, God Almighty informed us early on that Palestine is our inheritance that will ultimately return to us, and that it will remain ours as long as we are righteous. It was destined to leave our hands temporarily until we return to righteousness, coinciding with the period of the “Second Height” of the Israelites. The only means for its return to us is the righteousness that will cause God Almighty to arrange the circumstances for its return without our own plotting, just as an inheritance falls to the heir.

The Identity and Mission of the Promised Messiah

Furthermore, the Messiah whom Christians and Jews await will descend from among us, not from among them. He will appear at this time when the Jews have reached a position of great height. He will not come to establish their state or support them; rather, he comes to confirm the truth of Islam and the falsehood of [corrupted] Christianity and Judaism. His mission is to return the Ummah to righteousness, true worship, and the knowledge of God Almighty: “Take My servants to the Mount” (Sahih Muslim, Book of Tribulations). He will not be a warring sovereign who fights and takes tribute (Jizya): “And he will abolish the Jizya” (Sahih Bukhari, Book of Stories of the Prophets).

Understanding Gog, Magog, and the Dajjal

During his time, the status of [the powers of] the Cross will magnify from two aspects:

1. Brute military force that no one can withstand: “I have sent forth servants of Mine with whom no one has the power to fight” (Sahih Muslim).
2. Intellectual attacks against Islam using lies, fabrications, and false doubts.

Prophecies expressed this brute force as “Gog and Magog,” and the false, deceptive system attacking Islam as the “Dajjal” (Antichrist). It is narrated in Sahih Bukhari, Muslim, Musnad Ahmad, and other books of Sunnah that the Messiah will descend among us as a leader and a just judge; he will “kill the Dajjal” and “break the Cross.” These two descriptions confirm that the Dajjal is the fitna (tribulation) of the supremacy of the Cross and its doubts directed toward Islam. As for Gog and Magog, this promised Messiah is commanded not to fight them with physical weapons, but to “take the believers to the Mount”—meaning to worship and righteousness—forbidding them from thinking they can eliminate them by force. Instead, the two poles of this brute force will eventually fight one another and destroy each other: “And on that day We shall leave some of them to surge against others…” (Al-Kahf: 100).

The Inevitable Fall of Oppressive Sovereignty

As for the Jews in Palestine, they will fade away automatically due to their reliance on those who extend to them the “rope of power”: “Ignominy shall be smitten upon them… save [when they hold] a rope from Allah and a rope from men” (Al-Imran: 113). Their true nature and the ugliness of their crimes will be exposed to the world, and Muslims will enter the Mosque just as they entered it the first time: “So when the promise for the last time came… [they shall] enter the Mosque as they entered it the first time…” (Al-Isra: 8).

The Manifestation of the Promised Messiah: Ahmadiyya Islam

Since the current time matches what the prophecies indicate, Muslims must search for their Promised Messiah, who must have already descended. By the grace of God, he has indeed descended and established the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, which is the “Second Manifestation” and the promised second renaissance of Islam according to many reports in the Quran, including the news in Surah Al-Jumu’ah: “And [among] others of them who have not yet joined them…” (Al-Jumu’ah: 4).

However, he was not Jesus son of Mary himself, who passed away and was not raised physically to heaven. Rather, he came from within the Ummah and for the Ummah, just as the first Jesus came from within the Israelites. For context, the primary reason the Jews rejected Jesus son of Mary was their belief that the Prophet Elijah must physically descend from heaven first. Jesus explained that the “descent of Elijah” meant the coming of John the Baptist (Matthew 11:13-14). Today, many Muslims follow the path of the Jews, insisting on a physical descent, despite the fact that Jesus himself already ruled on this matter!

Intellectual Defense and Islamic Unity

In any case, this Promised Messiah has fulfilled his duties perfectly. He confronted the task of “killing the Dajjal” and “breaking the Cross” by personally facing the Christian fitna, leaving behind a vast body of knowledge that refutes all doubts and confirms the truth of Islam. The Community is now spreading everywhere in the world to face the “Dajjalic” doubts and to spread true teachings and morals. It works to nullify the fitna that has made the Western world a plaything in the hands of obsessives seeking to achieve the goals of a specific group of Jews. It calls for Islamic unity based on brotherhood, leaving behind sectarian differences.

The Collapse of the False Value System

This Community is the only one whose sole work is the propagation of Islam and its defense through argument and proof against a massive campaign of doubts. Unlike other groups preoccupied with politics or sectarian hatred, it presents evidence that invalidates the divinity of Christ using the Bible itself. If the doctrine of the divinity of Christ collapses—the “Dajjal” is killed—everything the “Gog and Magog” rely on today to justify their brutal actions will automatically collapse. We see today how the American administration is obsessed with these myths, and how horrific crimes are committed in the name of Christ to support a “state of evil.” This has “grieved their faces,” making them an eternal example of human degradation.

The Moral Defeat and the Lessons of History

The reality is that although they possess power today, they lost the moral battle long ago. No matter how brute the force, what remains are civilizations built on true, lofty values. When Netanyahu repeats Will Durant’s quote comparing Christ to Genghis Khan, it demonstrates limitless blindness. Christ is honored worldwide today, while Genghis Khan’s barbarism vanished. This will be the fate of modern oppressors, just as it was the fate of Nazism and Hitler.

The Path Forward: Soft Power and Righteousness

As for the Muslims, the time has come for them to believe in their Messiah, who came to protect them and return them to true Islam. God did not wish for Muslims to possess material power at this time so that Islam and its values may prevail through “soft power” that captures hearts and minds. Muslims must acknowledge that turning away from prophecies has brought nothing but destruction. The Ummah stands helpless today because it has ignored the divine roadmap.

Obedience to God’s Timing: The Wisdom of the Sahaba

Finally, if many still insist that there is no solution other than fighting, they should remember they are not braver than the Companions. In Mecca, they were commanded not to fight, and they obeyed despite persecution, realizing all power lies with God. When God later permitted them to fight, they prevailed. We have a great lesson in the Companions during the time of Uthman (ra); they restrained their hands when commanded, which preserved the status of the Caliphate. Carrying weapons is not proof of sincerity; we must fight when commanded and stop when commanded.

Strategic Unity and the Role of the Caliphate

This does not mean we should not defend ourselves, but our strategy should be unity and the refusal to comply with external dictates. Unity prevents oppressors from controlling our resources and our will. If we are united, they will not be able to harm us as they do today by isolating each faction of the Ummah individually.

For this reason, we see that the Head of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community, Khalifatul Masih V (aba), focuses in his speeches on Islamic unity and the rejection of sectarian differences and infighting among Muslims. Although true unity will only be achieved when the majority of the Ummah believes in the Promised Messiah, moving toward any form of unity and cooperation between Muslims will inevitably bear fruit, ward off dangers, and reduce the damages and losses currently afflicting the Ummah.
